Realistic Jesus

Hey everybody. Welcome to my blog. I am new to this whole thing so please forgive me if I don't blow you away right from the get-go. I am not the most eloquent writer, not to mention I don't think I have anything terribly awesome to say. But I do have a lot of things that are always running around in my cabeza. Anyways, the point of this blog is to share my ideas of what truly living like Jesus would look like today. Basically, how would Jesus live my life if it were him in my circumstances instead of me. Hopefully it will be interesting enough. I will probably be pretty sarcastic from time to time, that's just how I do! If you have any ideas for topics for me to talk about just post a comment and I will do my best.

Scotty, Jesus would never live in your circumstances. You hear people talk about trying to live like Jesus, but thats not what Jesus wants from us. If we lived sinless lives or died on the cross for our sins, we wouldn't need Jesus. Jesus would never get married or get a job. He wouldn't be Jesus then. Jesus had a specific purpose and role to fulfill. Our purpose isn't so specific. Carry Christ's banner with pride and honor. I was about to type, "I know its easier said then done," but to be honest, its not. The problem is its just as easy to put it down and ignore it.

Anyways, don't live like Jesus. Soon you'll have a wife to take care of, and she has to be number one. You can't wander around healing people, and then get yourself killed. It wouldn't be very husbandy of you.

Well, agree to disagree. The point is that God has called Christians to follow Him. I think that means practically living like he did if hypothetically he had my circumstances.
